TURKEY’S ECONOMY GREW 8.8 PER CENT IN THE FIRST QUARTER

TURKEY IS THE SECOND FASTEST ECONOMY OVER THE WORLD WITH THIS GROWTH RATE

According to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUİK), in the first quarter of the year Turkey’s economy grew 8.8 per cent which is over the expectations. The expectation of growth rate for the first quarter was 6.4 per cent.

WHO, HOW MUCH GREW?

In the first quarter of the year there was no double –digit growth rate in any countries. The fastest economy was China and Turkey followed it.

China 9.5 per cent

Turkey 8.8 per cent

Esthonia 8.4 per cent

India 7.7 per cent

Chilean 6.8 per cent

Indonesia 6.5 per cent

Lithuania 6.1 per cent

HERE IS THE GREW SECTORS

Financial intermediation services that measures indirectly was in the lead of most growing sector ( 18.5 per cent) , activities of the financial intermediary companies’ ( 14,3 per cent), construction ( 13,2 per cent), wholesale and retail trade ( 13 per cent).
