Nemport’s Management Board Member Cenk Heris stated that their private container port in Aliağa will catch the capacity of 250 thousands TEU in this year.

Nemport which is the first private container port of Agean region and services in  Aliağa achieved to exceed 140 thousands tones TEU capacity that it carried out last year,in the first 7 months of this year. Nemport’s Board Member Cenk Heris said that they will catch the capacity of 250 thousands TEU in this year and stated that they owe this success to 3 port cranes which has high handling capacity new generation post- panamax, experienced staff and high capacity of operation management. Heris told that because of its location Nemport has a large hinterland and developed transportation opportunities and stated that “Every year we increase our enlarging capacity. We are the most environmentalist port of Turkey with 3 cranes which operates with electricity and 5 RTG area handling cranes. We aim to have more transfer vehicles and new cranes in 2012.
