İzmir is in the Area of Chinese Inventors

İZKA TOLD OPPORTUNITIES OF INVESTMENT TO THE CHINESE DELEGATION

** Izmir Development Agency’s investment promotions in China gave results and a Chinese delegation composed of 8 people came to Izmir and searched Izmir in many aspects primarily energy sector.

Izmir succeded to call attention of China that became a target country by  its foreign investments in latest years.

Bilateral visits among Izmir and China has increased in the recent years.

Finally in 8-11 November Izmir Development Agency organized a roadshow in China and visited Jiangsu that has sister city relationships between Izmir and  explained investment opportunities of important companies regarding to renewable energy,automative and machine sectors.After the studies a working party composed of 8 people from Jiangsu came to Izmir between 19-22 January for investigate renewable energy sector and electricity market.

**  Chinese authorities:  We’ll invest in Izmir.

In the delegation there were Senior officials from Trina Solar Company and SUNEC Wind Generator Equipment Company besides Jiansgsu Foreign Affairs authorities.In the scope of  this programme  which organized by Izmir Development Agency  Investment Support Office Chinese Delegation visited various institutions. Also the delegation was informed about the energy politics in Turkey and potential of renewable energy in Izmir.Elif Ferdal Karakaş from Energy Market Regulatory Board, Nezir Ay from Turkish Electricty Generation and Transmission Corporation  gave detailed information about legistavive amendments and improvements in renewable enegy statute law.Also Izmir’s companies which works in solar and wind energy invited and provided a meeting with Chinese Companies.

Jiangsu’s Foreign Affairs authorities expressed their appreciation due to this programme and specify that they want to sign a cooperation protocol with IZKA, besides the company represantatives Express they intend to invest in renewable enegy sector in Izmir.
