Heyette yer alan sektöründe lider Amerikalı firmalar, Türk firmaları ile gerek Türkiye’de gerek bölge ülkelerinde işbirliği oluşturmak üzere İzmir Swissotelde birebir toplantılar gerçekleştirilecektir.

Aliağa Star Refinery which belongs to Socar – Turcas Group  was broken ground by the attendance of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Azerbaijani President İlham Aliyev .

It is declared that the refinery which its production starting date is planning 2015  will be established by 5 billion dollars investment and in the construction phase 10 thousand people , in the production phase a thousand people will be employed.

Erdoğan stated that they performed spectacular ground-breaking ceremony in Izmir and pointed out that 5 billion-dollar investment of Star Refinery is the biggest investment which carried out in one location and it will change the face of Izmir, will give strength to their 2023 targets.

China will make  its first big investment to Kınık district of Izmir. Chinese company Zhejiang Energy Group and Polat Madencilik will carry out coal mining operation and thermal power station project with 1 million dollars budget.

THE APPLICATION FOR POWER STATION HAS BEEN MADE TO ENERY MARKET REGULATORY AUTHORITY (EMRA)

Polat Madencilik signed a partnership protocol with Chinese energy company Zhejiang Energy Group for 1 million dolar worth coal mine operation and thermal power station. Thus, China signed for the first direct investment in Turkey. Initially, 3 million tone capacity of coal mine will be established in the scope of this two stage investment. Then, the thermal power station’s units will be built. The license application for power station has been made to Energy Market Regulatory Authority.

In the first stage of the Project, two thousand people and then it will reach to three thousand people employment for the project. The investment project will be completed in 5 years.

Izmir Special Provincial Administration Unit put 26 research area of geothermal resource out to tender. The Geothermal power that  will be provided from the activities of 26 separate source including  the area from Ödemiş to Selçuk, from Kemalpaşa to Torbalı will be used for the purpose of heating, vegetable glasshouse, tourism and energy. For areas , the auction date is announced as 5th October 2011.

TURKEY IS THE SECOND FASTEST ECONOMY OVER THE WORLD WITH THIS GROWTH RATE

According to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUİK), in the first quarter of the year Turkey’s economy grew 8.8 per cent which is over the expectations. The expectation of growth rate for the first quarter was 6.4 per cent.

Nemport’s Management Board Member Cenk Heris stated that their private container port in Aliağa will catch the capacity of 250 thousands TEU in this year.

Nemport which is the first private container port of Agean region and services in  Aliağa achieved to exceed 140 thousands tones TEU capacity that it carried out last year,in the first 7 months of this year. Nemport’s Board Member Cenk Heris said that they will catch the capacity of 250 thousands TEU in this year and stated that they owe this success to 3 port cranes which has high handling capacity new generation post- panamax, experienced staff and high capacity of operation management.

Minister of Economy Zafer Çağlayan stated  that %92 increase in FDI capital flow numbers in first half of this year when compared to previous year  is a proof that  Turkey is one of the safe ports for investments. Minister Çağlayan evaluated international direct investment  capital flow numbers for June in written statement and says that  “Despite  global  problems , %92 increase when compared to the previous year proves that Turkey is one of the safe ports for investments”.

Mr.Çağlayan told  the fact that %88 of capital flow in the first 6 months of this year were originated from EU , proves Turkey progresses in the aim of being the base for goods and service production of Europe and Eurasia.

It was reported that Orty Tourism Investment Trust has opened the first airport hotel of Izmir with an aim to make use of the building next to the entrance gate of Adnan Menderes Airport that has been idle for the last 23 years. The official opening ceremony for the facility will be held next month and the facility will also be targeting the business world. The cost of facility has been US$ 1.200.000 and 30 people have been employed.

It was noted that the young entepreneurs leased the building from Izmirliler Otelcilik firm by 2017 and Orty Airport Hotel, which has 54 rooms including 2 suits was opened during the Marble Fair after a short construction period of 4 months.
