Having 3000 employees, the US based company Lansinoh, a subsidiary of Japanese Pigeon Corporation, will produce single and double breast milk feeding pumps, manual breast milk feeding pumps, feeding bottles and pacifiers. The factory is expected to operate at full capacity until the end of 2016 and it will employ 100 people.
Kevin Vyse Peacock, the CEO of Lansinoh, emphasized that the 30 year old company will make its largest investment in İzmir during the groundbreaking ceremony.
"Lansinoh operates in more than 70 countries. It is the market leader in Britain, Germany and the US. Lanolin is our best product and it dominates the 90% of the market. Our brand holds the 60% of the breastfeeding products market while it holds 35% of the nursing pads market. We're targeting a revenue over $ 1 billion 150 million in 2015. We see the real growth opportunity in feeding bottle products. And the factory in İzmir will be our corner stone in developing these products. This facility which we aim to transform into a center of excellence for Lansinoh-Pigeon at the same time, will be among our priorities."
